MISSION
It is the Mission of the Springfield Rifles & Riflettes to nuture the self-confidence and self-assurance needed to successfully overcome the conditions of life. Sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, responsibility and self-discipline are among the traits needed by youngsters to face the future with positive aspirations and confidence. Players will learn to both foster confidence and a sense of self-worth that extend beyond the gridiron/gym and into school, family and our community.
The mission of the coaches who run the SRR is to familiarize the boys and girls with the fundamentals of Football and Cheerleading, and to provide an opportunity to play the game in a safe, supervised, and organized manner. In addition, we instill in our youth the challenge of maintaining good sportsmanship, scholastic achievement and physical fitness, along with teamwork while developing a positive self image and self-esteem.
